Mr. Provencal, Dominic
Mr. Dominic Provençal (Chairperson) holds an Executive MBA from the University of Manchester and is a Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA, CGMA) from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. He is currently the Head of Business Banking SBU at MCB and is also part of the Leadership Team of the bank. During his career, he has occupied various managerial and leadership roles in different strategic business units of the bank, with the last two being Deputy Head of Retail and Acting Head of Private Banking. He is also a director of MCB Factors Ltd, KIIM Africa Ltd and Seed Capital Ltd.
Mr. Goolabchund Goburdun
Mr. Goolabchund Goburdhun, G.O.S.K. is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds an M.Sc. in Finance from University of Mauritius. He has been appointed as Managing Director of The State Investment Corporation Limited (‘SIC’) since April 2019. He holds directorship on various SIC Investee Companies, including Lottotech Ltd, Casino Companies, SIC Development Co. Ltd, SBM (Mauritius) Infrastructure Development Company Ltd, Mauritius Shipping Corporation Limited and Ebene Car Park Ltd. He is also the Director of Air Mauritius Limited, Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd and Cote d’Or International Racecourse and Entertainment Complex Ltd, which are not investee companies of SIC.
Mr. Jaywant Pandoo
Mr. Jaywant Pandoo is a fellow of the Association of the Chartered and Certified Accountants (FCCA), Glasgow, UK and holder of a Masters (M.Sc.) in Banking and Finance.
Mr Jaywant Pandoo joined the Development Bank of Mauritius Ltd on 20 April 2020 as Managing Director after a successful career spanning some 37 years at the Bank of Mauritius. He was subsequently entrusted to spearhead the operations of the DBM Financial Services Ltd. At international level he was, until March 2020, a member of the Board Audit Committee of the International Islamic Liquidity Management Corporation which is headquartered in Malaysia.
Mr. Sivakrisna (Kovi) Goinden
Mr. Sivakrisna (Kovi) Goinden is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK (FCCA) and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration, Herriot Watt University, UK. Mr. Goinden has 19 years’ experience in the finance and accounting sector including 15 years in the banking sector. He currently manages the finance and procurement functions of the SBM Group as well as giving support to the different entities across SBM Group.
Over the years, Mr. Goinden has contributed much to the SBM Group given his vast past experience in merger and acquisitions, Group restructuring and capital projects. He acts as Director on several entities of the SBM Group and is a Councillor on the SBM Foundation, the CSR arm of the Group.
Ms. Rubina Ruhee
Ms. Rubina Ruhee is a Transformational Coach and Trainer for Corporate Professionals specialising in People Skills. Ms Ruhee is an ICI Associate Coach and Master NLP Practitioner. Ms Ruhee worked at the Mauritius Sugar Syndicate (MSS) from 1990 to 2008. She left as its Deputy Chief Executive Officer. As Senior Executive of MSS, Ms Ruhee was directly involved in all commercial and general affairs of the institution. She was the General Secretary since 2002. She has been fully involved at MSS Board levels throughout her career. She also represented MSS on other sugar industry boards.
Mr. Christ Paddia
Mr. Christ Paddia holds a Master’s Degree in Economic Policy Management from the University of Clermont Ferrand, France. Mr Paddia holds the position of Acting Director at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development (MoFEPD) and has over 25 years of experience in the preparation of the National Budget and the Public Sector Investment Programme at the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Development. His schedule of responsibilities covers among others, the project conception, implementation and monitoring. He is also a Director on the board of Mauri-Facilities Company Limited. He represents his Ministry on several statutory Boards including Polytechnics Mauritius Ltd, National Pension Fund/National Savings Fund Investment Committee, Private Secondary Education Authority and the National Wage Consultative Council.
