The Industrial Finance Corporation of Mauritius (Equity) Ltd (IFCME) (previously known as The SME Equity Fund Ltd (“SEF” or “the Fund”)) is a Closed-End Fund (Single Fund) under the Collective Investment Scheme, licenced by the Financial Services Commission. The trading/ business name has been maintained as SME Equity Fund. Its objective is to provide equity, quasi-equity financing amongst others to local companies.

The Board of Directors comprises of members appointed by the Government of Mauritius and members appointed by the Mauritius Bankers’ Association.

SEF has a service agreement with Capital Asset Management (CAM) Ltd, holder of CIS Managers Licence to fully manage the operations of SEF. CAM is wholly-owned subsidiary of the State Investment Corporation Ltd.
